CEDEI offers its students different alternatives to learn English and reinforce specific areas of the language. This is the case of the Speaking and Listening courses and the TOEFL preparation course which start on February 20.
The TOEFL preparation course (Test of English as a Foreign Language) taught at CEDEI focuses on guiding the student through the different sections of the exam: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. The goal is for the students to become familiar with how these areas are tested and learn strategies to help them during the official test.
To sign up for the TOEFL preparation course, people interested need to take a placement exam which will take place on February 13 at 6 p.m. at CEDEI’s Centro location on Gran Colombia 11-02 and General Torres. CEDEI’s graduate students do not need to take the placement exam if they have graduated in the last year.
Additionally, the Speaking and Listening courses focus on pronunciation and listening. These courses are structured by levels, according to the student’s knowledge of the language; thus, people need to take a placement test before signing up.
Apart from these special courses, CEDEI offers intensive courses, also starting on February 20. This type of course takes place from Monday through Friday, two hours each day. Registration is now open for all courses.
