CEDEI's Department of International Programs welcomes groups from different countries, especially the United States, through the agreements it has with foreign universities.
Currently, several groups are studying with the Department of International Programs: North Park University, Dickinson College, and the Spring Semester program. They are at CEDEI to continue with coursework as part of their university majors, and learn about Latin American life and culture at the same time.
This week, the North Park students have various activities planned, such as a visit to the Las Conceptas Museum, where they will see religious and folkloric sculptures and paintings. They will also have dance and cooking classes. This weekend they will travel to Gualaceo and Chordeleg, cities located close to Cuenca.
The Spring Semester students will visit the Pumapungo museum and attend dance classes. The Dickinson College group will continue learning Spanish and begin a geography course. They will also visit the Pumapungo Museum, attend dance classes, and visit the Ingapirca ruins and Cajas National Park.
