Living in a different country can cause feelings of confusion and disorientation. To minimize the effects of this situation, CEDEI's Department of International Programs gives its study abroad students talks on "Culture Shock."
This topic will be discussed by the 9 students of the Spring Semester group who are studying at the CEDEI from January until the end of April. The talk will be an excellent opportunity for the students to discuss their current feelings and what they may experience while living in Ecuador.
The study abroad students will have many activities this week, such as cooking and dance classes, and visits to tourist sites in Azuay and other regions of Ecuador. Currently, several groups are studying with the Department of International Programs, including North Park University, Syracuse University, and Dickinson College. They are at CEDEI to complete coursework related to their university majors while also learning about Latin American culture.
