CEDEI's Department of International Programs provides different ways for foreigners to learn Spanish, according to their skill level or their requirements.
One is the Full Immersion Spanish Program, or FISP, which has a minimum duration of 2 weeks so that the language immersion can provide positive results. In this program, students also have the opportunity to share experiences with a host family and receive additional classes in cooking, dance, art, or ceramics.
Another option to learn Spanish is the Spanish Immersion Volunteer Program (SIVP), in which students can do volunteer work at institutions that have agreements with CEDEI, as well as taking Spanish classes.
Another alternative is the Medical Spanish Program, which offers Spanish language classes with a focus on medicine. In this program, a calendar of talks and visits is organized for the student, in order to give him or her a comprehensive understanding of the health field.
The Department of International Programs also welcomes groups of students from various universities in the United States. They take different courses at CEDEI according to their college majors and receive credits that are accepted by their home universities.
Currently, programs from Augustana College and Dickinson College are about to finish their academic agendas at CEDEI, after having completed a wide range of activities.
