The experience of the Department of International Programs CEDEI has allowed hundreds of foreign students to study in Cuenca, Ecuador each year.

Indeed, the CEDEI has been organizing the studies and stay of foreign university students for 24 years. Thanks to meticulous planning and organization, foreign students have the opportunity to continue their careers, learn Spanish, learn about Latin American culture and live in homestays with locals from Cuenca.

Every day becomes an unforgettable experience for foreigners studying in this department. Currently, International Programs welcomes 2 university groups that are from Augustana College and Dickinson College.

The group from Augustana College this week will develop a varied agenda that includes cooking classes where they will learn about the preparation of dishes, their origin, and importance in the Ecuadorian culture. The group will also go to the Museum of Conceptas, characterized by its art and religious pieces. Add to this dance classes and a visit to Canton Giron, located 55 minutes from Cuenca. This group will return to the United States on August 15.

At the same time, the Dickinson College program will attend cooking classes, participate in a course of Latin American economic policy and will participate in dance classes. After that, the group will travel to Argentina; another beautiful Latin American country to continue their curriculum.
