The international students that belong to the CEDEI International Programs department develop different activities to immerse in the Ecuadorian culture.
Therefore, the “Fall Semester” groupwill learn to prepare delicious Ecuadorian traditional dishes during this week. An expert will teach the students about the secrets so they can prepare the locro de papas, motepillo and fritada. To complement the food, they will make a delicious desert, an exotic natural fruit juice and a nutritious salad.
This will be an enriching experience because the gastronomy fulfill a fundamental role in the Ecuadorian and Latin American culture. In addition to this activity, the students will visit diverse touristic places of Cuenca and its surroundings, such as: The Cajas National Park. Furthermore, they will take tropical dance clases.
It is important to mention that the foreign groups that come to CEDEI continue with their studies as if they were in their universities at home, in the United States.
