The foreign students of the Fall Semester program will analyze the diversity of flora and fauna of the Galapagos Islands in a lecture about Ecuador’s ecosystems. This lecture is focused on the Enchanted Islands, which the students will visit in the middle of October.
The lecture will be about various elements of biodiversity that make up the island region, which is an Ecuadorian Natural Heritage. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about this place, which is characterized by its unique animal and plants species that can’t be found in any other part of the world.
This visit will be very useful for the university students that will travel to the Galapagos from the 19th to 25th of October. They will visit various islands and will have the opportunity to snorkel next to schools of fish and various species of sea animals.
Before their trip, the students will participate in a series of activities. For example, this week they will attend cooking classes to learn how to prepare typical Ecuadorian dishes such as Encebollado de Pescado and Tigrillo.
The Fall Semester students are currently studying in CEDEI’s International Programs department since the beginning of September. The group is made up of 15 university students that are from different universities in the United States. These universities will approve their study abroad credits and allow them to continue with their majors.
