On January 13, approximately 300 attendees participated in the 2nd American University Fair organized by the EducationUSA Cuenca advising center. This event took place at the CEDEI Foundation Centro location at Gran Colombia 11-02 & General Torres.

Attendees had the opportunity to learn more information about the educational programs offered by various American universities. This was the case of 17-year-old Fernanda M. who came to this event. She is interested in continuing her higher education studies in the USA. Although she still hasn’t decided on a major, Fernanda took advantage of this opportunity to talk with representatives from the following universities:

-       Albright College: (Pennsylvania, USA)

-       Saint Ambrose University: (Iowa, USA)

-       Salisbury University: (Maryland, USA)

-       Birmingham Southern College: (Alabama, USA)

-       Lewis & Clark College: (Oregon, USA)

-       Worcester Polytechnic Institute: (Massachusetts, USA)

-       Taylor University: (Indiana, USA)

Fernanda enthusiastically explains that the fair allowed her to learn more about the educational options at these Higher Education Institutions, the application process for U.S. study, scholarship opportunities, student life, and more. In addition to the 7 universities at the event, representatives from the Fulbright Commission in Quito, the Consulate General of the United States of America, and the CEDEI Foundation participated in the fair.
