In the final part of their curriculum on Latin American culture, students at Augustana College (Illinois - USA) will travel to Peru to visit different heritage sites.

Thus, foreign students complete their curriculum in the Department of International Programs at CEDEI, which started in early June. Their tour includes travel to and visiting cities like Cuzco, Lima and Machu Picchu.

As part of the visit to Cusco, the university students will tour the beautiful ruins of places like Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, the Aguanacancha Center, where they can see various types of vicunas, llamas and alpacas, the ruins of Pisac, the Sacred Valley Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calientes, Machu Picchu and the Inti Punku.

In Lima they will have a city tour where they will visit the Parque del Amor, Plaza de Armas, the San Francisco Cathedral and the Catacombs among other places. In addition, the group plans to visit the Parque de las Fuentes.

While in Ecuador, students continued their university studies and at the same time participated in activities such as lectures, workshops, visits, tours and other tourist attractions. The main objective is for students to get to know the Latin American culture in a global way.

After the trip to Peru, Augustana College students will return to the United States to continue their university careers.
