"Eating nutritious products and having an active life" is the message that CEDEI School's sixth grade students will deliver in the nutrition and exercise fair, which will be held on Saturday March 12th in the Parque de la Madre.

The event is organized by the Municipality of Cuenca, through the Cantonal Health Council, and forms part of the "Your Health is Ours" campaign.  CEDEI School and the Center for Interamerican Studies Foundation, CEDEI, are part of the participating institutions.

The fair will begin at 8:00 a.m. and continue until 13:00 p.m.  The CEDEI School students will motivate attendees to eat nutritious foods with a stand of products in order to explain the benefits of a balanced diet.  The students will also have various games and physical activities as a fundamental complement for a healthy life.

It is important to note that CEDEI School and the CEDEI Foundation support this type of initiative.  Currently, CEDEI is a sponsor of the CATCH Nutrition and Physical Activity Project, which seeks to teach healthy eating and exercise habits to students in our city.

The CATCH Global Foundation is an institution that carries out projects aimed at childhood health and wellness in the United States.  It was developed by researchers from the School of Public Health at the University of Texas.  The project looks at different stages in the short, medium, and long term.
