During the course of this week, CEDEI School will participate in various educational, cultural, recreational, and pedagogical activities, aimed at strengthening the students' learning in different areas.
The student body will participate in 2 conversation groups over the next days. First they will discuss "The Foundation of Quito," which is celebrated on December 6th. The students will learn about different aspects of the Ecuadorian capital.
Another conversation group will be about "Human Rights Day," which is celebrated every December 10th. "The International Bill of Human Rights sets out the civil, political, cultural, economic, and social rights that are the birth right of all human beings" (http://www.un.org/en/events/humanrightsday/). These discussion groups are spaces for guided conversation that promote the students' analytical skills.
The students will also participate in a "Secret Santa" game, a seasonal activity typical for the month of December. The parents of the school will also have the opportunity to share a special time with their children as they make a craft together.
Additionally, the students of Octavo and Segundo de Bachillerato will be the artists invited to the Chorus Festival, organized by the Millenium Plaza mall. The students will perform various songs, featuring reflective music with a social focus.
