Cuzco, Lima, Machu Picchu are some of the Peruvian cities the students from the Augustana College Program will visit during their travels this week.   This is the last activity for students of this program, which started in June.

Part of the students visit to Cusco will include tours of beautiful places including: the Sacsayhuaman Ruins, Kenko, Pucapucara, Tambomachay, the Pisac Ruins, Valle Sagrado Ollantaytambo, Aguas Calienes, Machu Picchu and Inti Punku.  They will aslo visit the Centro Aguanacancha where they will be able to see Vicuñas, Llamas and Alpacas.

In Lima they will have a city tour in which they will visit:  Parque del Amor, Plaza de Armas, Catedral San Francisco, Catacumbas and Parque de las Fuentes.

During their stay in Ecuador, the students will continue their university studies and the will have extracurricular activities including: lectures, workshops, and visits to touristic places.    The main objective of these activities is that the students learn about Latin-American culture in a global way.    

After their trip to Peru, the Augustana College students will return to the US to continue their university educations.  Currently, CEDEI’s International Programs department is preparing to receive Fall Semester and Fall Education students.   These students will be arriving to Cuenca, Ecuador in the coming months.
